Beng (Hons) Civil Engineering

With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, James is an experienced Senior Manager and Director who brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. James is the third generation of the family business to be employed at WK.

James’s is a qualified Civil Engineer (BEng Hons) and acquired his experience working for Barratt Homes, Persimmon Homes and the SME Edenstone Group which has given him a breadth of experience allowing him to cover multi disciplines.

James has been at WK for 2 years and works tirelessly to stay abreast of changing technical demands and legislation as well as exploring sustainability solutions as the industry moves towards Zero Carbon Homes over the next decade.

James also covers our TR&T commitments including future training, employment of local people, community engagement, waste management, energy usage, etc…

James also heads up our Community Benefits. Being a well-established contractor with strong local links we have continuously invested within our local community. We have a long-lasting sponsorship of Abercynon Rugby club and Dowlais Rugby club. We also recently gifted Christmas chocolate boxes to the local school, placing notice boards around the local community and contributed toward the Abercynon Christmas Tree. In the future WK is looking to set up a foundation where it can more easily give back to the community. This is hoped to be set up in the next financial year.
